This work had as its theme the survey of solid waste generated in the municipality of Moreira Sales. The research is based on studies related to the correct destination of urban waste and how has been the garbage collection in the municipality. Currently one of the main problems faced by humanity is the incorrect destination of urban waste. This problem is mainly related to the disorderly growth of the population, increasing quantitatively the volume of solid waste produced, to maintain the daily needs of man. Solid waste when improperly packed can cause serious risks of environmental pollution and environmental contamination, necessitating some disposal criteria that can minimize the impact on the environment and do not compromise the health of the population. The National Solid Waste Policy – Law No. 12,305 / 2010, presents as a priority the reduction of waste in generating sources, reduction of final disposal in the soil, maximization of reuse, selective collection, recycling and environmentally correct disposition of waste. Urban solid waste generated in cities has been a cause of concern in recent decades, as it has caused increasing pollution and social and environmental impacts due to inadequate final disposal. Properly targeting rubbish is one of the great challenges of public administration around the world. |
