This work had as its theme a bibliographical research about the existence and feasibility of areas of Private Reserve of Natural Patrimony – RPPN, in order to study this situation since the year 2000. The study seeks to evaluate the feasibility of stimulating owners of environmental areas to create such areas in their properties and make it available for environmental tourism with a broad scope for environmental education and environmental awareness of young people and adults. It seeks to characterize RPPN through historical records of protected environmental areas and shows numbers of Conservation Units current in Brazil. It presents benefits in the implementation of RPPNs and benefits and limitations to provide environmental tourism and education in RPPNs. |
