Increasingly, the topic environmental preservation has been an issue widely discussed by the general population, possibly making everyone rethink their attitudes toward the environment. Man is feeling and experiencing the effects of pollution and other damage to nature such as global warming, undue waste disposal and climate change. Thinking about such issues, some companies started to worry and get involved in the socioenvironmental issue, seeking through social programs and the very attitudes of their managers, contribute to the preservation of the environment. On the other hand, there are those that do not have an organic and solid waste plan specific to the environment. The present study intends to report on the social and environmental responsibility of four companies in the western region of santa catarina and, more specifically, how garbage separation is performed and the employees’ position in assisting in this preservation and sustainable development practices. In order to alert the general population to the importance of such subjects, they will be approached through descriptive bibliographical research and case study with the direct explanation of the researcher in the relationships and studies addressed in this work. |
