Resumo: Currently, with the negative changes caused by human actions evident on the environment has occurred increasing concerns related to preservation. The regions of agricultural crop area comprising a large amount of soil particles, if handled inappropriately can compromise the quality of the groundwater as well as the chemical and physical characteristics of the soil for plant growth and the stability of the ground. Given this need for a proper management of the soil this study was to subject the state of soil conservation in properties with growing vegetables in Murici colony, in São José dos Pinhais - PR. With questionnaires interviews were conducted a few producers of vegetables and image registration on the ground situation in some of the properties analyzed in order to allow for verification of the procedures adopted for the management of soil in the cultivation of plants and other practices adopted in properties Related to erosion. The results enabled the realization that many vegetable producers have knowledge about some practices that can be adopted to prevent erosion, however, adopt only some preventive forms of isolation. It was also observed that some respondents receive or have been guided by skilled technicians. This work allowed to demonstrate that an increase in the provision of support agricultural and environmental professionals in the region can influence on the adoption of practices to significantly reduce water pollution and soil loss in acreage. This research allowed to provide greater insight into the peculiarities of the study area for future work in the region considering the importance of the watershed to the public water supply.
