This monograph seeks to identify the environmental impacts of municipal solid waste management in the Great Retreat Farm / Salvador / BA neighborhood surrounding the Municipal School Fountain Grass in the light of a vision of environmental sustainability. To this end, we investigate the concept of solid waste, environment, environmental impact, urban solid waste management and school community. From these studies, we suggest possible measures for the neighborhood, outlining flow models for household waste and techniques for working together in the population, in order to sensitize it to reduce waste generation. It is confirmed by this theoretical construct , there is the possibility of minimizing the urban household solid waste considerably as well as improve the management of urban solid waste system of the school community , contributing to the reduction of adverse effects on the environment , caused by increased consumption of raw materials , solid waste generation and disposal and incorrect packaging. |
