The groundwater monitoring is very important to preserve the water quality in the São Paulo aquifers. Thus, qualify and quantify the contaminants identified in the uptake of water from wells prevent possible contamination determined evolve, and allows the preparation of plans and actions taken mitigating environmental impact. This study aimed to characterize basin and evaluate the attributes of the groundwater quality of the Presidente Prudente - SP micro-region. The survey was conducted using information from 30 cities these region, as the geographical location, year of drilling, depth, aquifer purpose of water use, flow and concentration shown in the groundwater of 15 chemical parameters, collected in the records of wells Department of Water and Power (DAEE). Through the development of thematic maps and statistical analyzes, was analyzed the characteristics of drilled wells, as water use and flow of operation, assessed the occurrence of non-conformities of the parameters in relation to the potability standards established by Ordinance of the Ministry of health Act 2914/2011, and municipalities with greater criticality of groundwater quality . The main aquifer of Presidente Prudente's micro-region for groundwater extraction is Bauru. The main purpose of the groundwater extracted was used as an alternative for human health and consumption source. Then the water intended for rural use. Among the fifteen chemical parameters analyzed, only four (Arsenic, Barium, Antimony and Sodium) were not detected in water samples above the limit. Chromium is the chemical element detected in 11% of the wells above the VMP, nitrate and 4.3% of the samples. Criticality of groundwater quality was strongly evidenced in the municipalities of Presidente Prudente and Regente Feijó. Given the above, it emphasizes the importance of monitoring, inspection and control, not only the groundwater quality, but all its area of influence, knowing, mainly the history of land use in the area of drilling the well and the goal of the intended use of the water, so that public health problems are preventable. |
