Resumo: This paper discusses the technology deployment made in Social Security to better serve citizens. The benefit of Retirement came in 1889, end of the IXX century Germany to citizens from 70 years of age. From 1920, other countries Europe created this benefit in an attempt to contain growth of socialist ideals. In 1923, was created in Brazil, the first Law retirement (Law Eloi Chaves), which benefited only the rail categority. In the thirties it is extended to others categories of civil public employees. On May 1, 1943 is approved the Consolidation of Labor Laws, along with the Project Consolidation of the Laws of Social Security, bringing together, in 1966, six Institutes of Benefits, Retirement and Pensions. Then arises the need to implement a system of technology to the solution Registration and attendance of millions of taxpayers. It created the DATAPREV in the 70s, to attend the needs of its biggest client, the National Social Security Institute (INPS), through Law 6125 of November, 04, 1974, sanctioned by the President Ernesto Geisel.
