This work was thematic issues on Public Security Policies, as the preventive context is embedded in such policies, behind the sense of security as stated in the constitution of the republic, brings analysis of some authors on the current concept of security policies in the country , others that conceptualize citizen or security as preventative solution to the control of violence and the most effective way to combat the high rates of violence, draws from research body the levels of violence that plague Brazil, the historical evidence of "homicide" in our country, presents data on planned and preventative actions performed by the security institutions nationwide, plus show data from a public security policy that is designed according to the concept of preventive security or citizen, shows the positive effects that this type of policy can offer to society as a whole and the communities that do not have access to government programs positivized the constitution. Thus, the work attempts to highlight the importance to change the prevailing concept in public security policies by changing the way military to democratic being only one instrument among many for discussion on the subject security is broad and challenging for public management. |
