This paper describes the agribusiness sector in relation to the many challenges to meet the growing demand of the population that will reach 9 billion people by the year 2050. Thus, it is essential that producers have access to adequate technological procedures so that they can make the enterprise competitive. In this sense, information technology stands out as one of the administrative management tools that the agribusiness of the cattle ranch has incorporated into its activities. Known in the rural environment as agro-informatics, it comprises a variety of systems, programs and portals on agribusiness. Thus, considering the importance of technology in the field, this work aims to identify and characterize the existing technology in the field as a development factor of the agribusiness productive chain; analyze the factors that influence the adoption of technology in rural organizations, and provide an up-to-date view of the use of field technology to increase the sector's competitiveness. In this way, it was possible to conclude that the technology for the production of improvements in livestock companies is important when providing information for the improvement of techniques of herd enhancement. |
