In an environment, increasingly competitive, new project management methods are necessary in the search for time optimization and resources for the development of new products with differentiation and better quality. In this context, stands out the concurrent engineering as an alternative to optimize process designs in companies that continually develop products, as is the case the construction industry and more specifically the precast industry sector. This study aims to propose the adaptation of the concurrent engineering model for development projects in the precast concrete industry. Through literature review performed, allowed it concludes that concurrent engineering is effective in which proposes. In this way, the method may be helpful in reducing deadlines, in the reduce costs and losses in the production process, addition to improving the final quality of buildings. The concurrent engineering may be helpful in meeting the needs and requirements of customers and to reduce the stress among the sectors of project and production in the precast concrete industry. In the case study, done for this research, in a precast company in the state of Paraná, it was observed that the methodology used is identified with the sequential engineering whose projects are developed in stages without the integration of sectors. Based on this observation, it elaborated a proposal of implementation of the concurrent engineering adapted to the reality of the company with the support of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) 4D for best results. |
