Resumo: The objective of this study was to establish a relationship between the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation with a bank agency work routine, thus identifying how happens the processes of creation, coding and transfer of knowledge during the performance of work. In the theoretical framework the Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation was split into its main processes, the tacit and explicit knowledge, the conversion modes of knowledge, knowledge spiral, enabling conditions of organizational knowledge creation and five -phase model of organizational knowledge creation process. Data were collected through an interview with the operational manager of the agency and a questionnaire applied to all employees. The result of the analysis of the data reveals that the process of creation, coding and transfer of knowledge occurs during the work routine of a bank agency through the interaction between tacit and explicit knowledge in the implementation of activities, where the conversion modes happen, detemined by enabling conditions and within a five-phase model of organizational knowledge creation process. In conclusion, there are in work routine every knowledge management processes covered in Theory of Organizational Knowledge Creation.
