Fire safety in buildings is classified according to its design and operation in passive and active. In this work, it is approached the effective measures of protection against active or combat fires, which correspond to a set of safety measures taken to control the growth of the fire, seeking its containment or extinction. In order for these measures of active protection to be efficient, it is necessary that buildings, besides adopting them, have occupants with clarification, training and capacity to operate them. In this bias, this work includes the analysis of the measures of active protection foreseen in legislation, the clarification and the capacity in the use of equipment of active protection by teachers, of a Primary School in the Municipality of Ponta Grossa. This work has as main objective to analyze the efficiency of the measures of active protection or firefighting by the teachers checking the clarification, the capacities and limitations in relation to the object of study. It is an exploratory research, characterized as a case study , in which the data collection was divided into three stages: on-site verification of the measures of active protection of the building; questionnaire containing propositions on the topic; and a practical activity to evaluate the capacities and limitations in the use of fire extinguishers and hydrants. The present study highlights the need for clarification and training for the teachers of the fundamental public education network, in order to increase the fire prevention and fire prevention system in schools. |
