With the globalization of the economy and increase competitiveness in the global market, companies are forced to introduce new too l sand methodologies to manage their processes to ensure the survival of your business. These processes are becoming increasingly complex, and the search for excellences in terms of quality, safety, environmental preservation and costs, are basic requirements for the generation of competitive forces. To manage this complex organization, maintenance is highlighted as one of the most important sectors of business. Within this context, the objective of this study is to identify best practices that are currently used for the implementation and development of maintenance management systems. For this literature review was performed on national and international practices and used by most cited authors of this field. Of all the literature performed, one can say that there are numerous tools available to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance management, but that should be applied and dosed according to the particularities of each type of organization. |
