However, if managers do not take the right decision and there is no planning, will affect the company may undertake there. With this line of thinking is that writing this work, showing a bit about the history of maintenance in recent years, some of the most important methods and techniques used within the maintenance. We then describe on decision making, their types, their methods in general. After the reference, conducted a study and analysis of the methods that can be used inside of maintenance, which is the method Multicriteria Decision Support (MMAD), and finally the completion of this work. A manutenção vem sendo um dos setores mais importantes dentro da indústria. O planejamento e uma tomada de decisão correta leva a indústria a se destacar dentro de seu setor, podendo elevar a credibilidade dentro do ambiente industrial. Entretanto, se os gestores não tomarem uma decisão correta e não houver um planejamento, afetará a empresa, podendo compromete-la. Com essa linha de pensamento é que escrevemos este trabalho, mostrando um pouco sobre a história da manutenção nos últimos anos, alguns dos mais importantes métodos e técnicas usadas dentro da manutenção. Em seguida, descrevemos sobre a tomada de decisão, seus tipos, seus métodos em geral.
