This paper presents a study on Lean Production, highlighting one of its tools, value stream mapping, indicating the concepts that underlie the tool and steps for their use, illustrating the application of the methodology of value stream mapping in a case study on a specific product from a company in the metallurgical sector. The process was mapped in its current state, and designed in its desired future state, to incorporate lean production practices, and from this, reporting references about the main sources, and then presents solutions and tools specified in the literature and practical applications in the search for the elimination of these problems. |
