Wireless networks have more and more space in people’s daily lives. Portable computers are already a reality in our daily lives. Numerous applications continue to emerge for the most diverse areas of entertainment, security, automation, and several others. Wireless networks are present everywhere and among the various existing types, these networks can be used in the most diverse ways, one of them is for the indoor location. There are several methods to obtain the location using the signal strength, for example, calculation of trilateration, triangulation, based on the angle of arrival, map of fingerprint signal, among others. The present work presents a case study with the indoor location method called fingerprint signal map, where it was possible to locate the device in a real environment measuring 60 meters long by 16 meters wide, with a satisfactory margin of error below 10 meters. |
