Resumo: The use of the solar potential for electricity generation depends on the technical characteristics of the installed equipment and the particularities of the installation site. The R&D research project signed between the Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) and Paraná Company of Energy (COPEL) allowed the installation of Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems (GCPVS) for different technologies in the campuses Campo Mourão, Cornélio Procópio, Curitiba, Medianeira, Pato Branco and Ponta Grossa, located in different mesoregions of Paraná. The choice between the different technologies of photovoltaic modules, as well as the availability of radiation incident in the plan of the photovoltaic generators are some of the factors that determine the performance of the plant. Through figures of merit calculated with real measurements of power generation and radiation, it was possible to monitor and compare the performance between the systems implanted in each campus. In general, the GCPVS of thin film technologies showed the best performances in all campuses, except in Cornélio Procópio, where the system of m-Si was superior of CIGS. Regarding crystalline silicon technology, the system of m-Si was superior to p-Si in all cases, except in Campo Mourão. Depending on the technology, the capacity factor varied from 16.80% to 21.03%, while the monthly productivity ranged between 123.29 kWh/kWp and 153.89 kWh/kWp. Both indexes had higher potentials in Cornélio Procópio and Pato Branco. The performance ratios were mostly greater than 80%, concentrating the highest values in Medianeira for thin films’ GCPVS and in Cornélio Procópio for the crystalline silicon. The analyzed period offers an overview of the behavior related to the performance of photovoltaic plants in the different regions of Paraná.
