This paper aims to identify the difficulties that may be found in the reuse of PLP ontology created in the previous work by authors Auceli and Garcia (2019, forthcoming). Based on the use of open databases in Curitiba, the authors performed a work to provide a semantic integration to map the trajectory of care patients in public health units, from initial treatments in the Emergency Care Units to hospitalization, but comming to die. For the reuse of this ontology, this paper uses new databases containing data from the same domain, but from a different location, in these case, the city of São Paulo – SP. Even with an ontology in the same domain (health) some challenges can be met by reusing it even by following reuse Best Practice guides. The aim of this paper is to identify and explore these challenges by highlighting the reuse advantages and how Best Practices can assist in this process by analyzing possible changes and improvements in the process of building a reusable ontology. |
