Resumo: Traffic accidents are one of the leading causes of death in Brazil and, according to data from the Confederação Nacional de Transporte, between 2007 and 2017 alone, more than 1.6 million accidents and more than 83,000 deaths were recorded. In particular, accident data have not only geographic and temporal components, but also dynamics including BR stretch, differentiated classification of accidents, vehicles and passengers involved in different aggregations (country, state, city). This paper proposes a visual interface of accident data from the Federal Highway Police from January 2007 to June 2018, with the objective of supplying the problem of accident overlap in areas and pattern identification. In this direction, this interface is inspired by similar applications, as well as studies on databases, smart cities, geographic information systems, cluster algorithms and open data.
