Resumo: This work consists of verifying if the student, using the GeoGebra software, is able to build mathematical knowledge about quadrilaterals, in addition to analyzing their use of technological resources in mathematics classes. It was aimed at elementary school students at a public state school in the city of Curitiba in the state of Paraná. We adopted a quantitative-qualitative research, using bibliographic, field research and questionnaires. The students initially interacted with the GeoGebra software and were subsequently challenged to use it for an investigative class on quadrilateral diagonals. As a result of the experience, we noticed that the students interacted in an exploratory way with the software. They realized that GeoGebra tools, such as: regular polygon, line segment, distance between two points, midpoint and angle, made it possible to construct quadrilaterals and their diagonals. This provided new perspectives on the understanding and exploration of geometric concepts, implying the construction of knowledge about the content covered.
