This work aims to develop a Geographic Information System application to integrate Google Maps with a georeferenced database. This application gets the geographical coordinates of addresses and stores it in a spatial database. This information is treated in a way that allows the generation of reports that help in the decision making of sales companies of teaching materials, aiming at the organization of the itinerary of the sellers in the visits to the elementary schools. The results of this work were the realization that obtaining the Google Maps API addresses and their use in the developed application is relatively easy and that the cost of geocoding and storing in a database offers advantages to companies that use an address in the usual way. |
