Resumo: Final customers concernment about environmental issues at the buy act is a tendency nowadays. Type III environmental labeling is an auxiliary instrument in this process, enabling the customer to provide relevant environmental data regarding the respect of their merchandise and allowing the identification of the damage generated by the production process and the product life cycle. The present essay has as its medium objective the perception of value of companies in the civil construction sector in Brazil, appropriate to the type III environmental labeling that they have. For this, the data collection instrument used was created from google forms, understanding what factors are certified products, such as business motivations, results related to Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) and information regarding the design and implementation of the tool. After making the form, the questionnaire was applied to the companies and, from the applied answers, analyzed and concluded, with perceived value of part by the use of labeling. In order to verify the use of EPD, it was decided to restrict the research to the current Brazilian scenario, generating concrete and specific information about the national territory, and may contribute to the evolution and diffusion of the tool in the country. Among the limitations of the study, it can be pointed out the inclusion of only two companies in the study, justified by the fact that they are the only ones in Brazil that present products with type III labeling, representing 100% of the companies that adhere to the tool. After the implementation of the tool, there were benefits regarding the company's image, while participating in forums for the presentation of the EPDs project, gaining national and international visibility. The main motivation pointed out by the companies analyzed were the LEED and AQUA certifications, required by the international civil construction market. Both institutions analyzed were also interested in continuing to apply the tool to new products, reinforcing their value identification. From the presentation of the results, it was found that EPD provides value to the companies interviewed, serving as a basis for future work with related themes.
