Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the performance of the Functional Physical Arrangement used by the aircraft maintenance company and to suggest a change to another type of Physical Arrangement, the Positional. The need for reformulation of the physical arrangement adopted by the company arose from visits to the site, understanding of the activities, as well as the explanation by employees of the difficulties encountered in performing maintenance activities such as the arrangement of rooms, lack of doors to facilitate the work. accesses, in addition to the distance traveled in the hangar for the execution of maintenance processes. After understanding the problems, as well as the current physical (functional) arrangement adopted by the same, it was decided to act on improving the physical arrangement, proposing the change to the positional, acting on the restructuring of the current plant and reorganizing the work sectors, aiming at improvement and reduction of the distance traveled. To conduct the study, find the results, as well as verify the need for a physical upgrade on site, visits, interviews with those responsible for maintaining the aircraft, as well as the application of a questionnaire to understand the pros and cons. of the current positioning of the adopted sectors, and, in view of this, propose its updating, measuring the reduction of the distance traveled. It was presented the development stages of the study by the methodology, as well as the results found by the method implementation. The efficiency in the implementation of the positional physical arrangement in the aircraft maintenance company was verified, generating a reduction in the distance traveled.
