Resumo: |
The present research aimed to evaluate the possibilities of structuring an approach to teaching astronomy through music, in order to explore the complex relationships between Art and Science with David Bowie's Space Oddity. The aim was to analyze the music considering the relation of astronomy contents present in the work, besides contextualizing historical characteristics and to analyze the influences of scientific development and astronomical activity in relation to identity, art and culture in the 1960s. It has been applied to this study the method of discourse analysis, appreciation techniques and aesthetic experience analysis. Studying the song Space Oddity, we identified scientific concepts and diverse social meanings that reflect the historical and socio-scientific context of that time. With the result of the critical evaluation of the artwork, a pedagogical work was systematized aiming to approximate knowledge and foster interdisciplinary practices contextualizing the dialogue between Art and Science throughout history, more specifically the relationship between Astronomy and Music during the Space Race. With this work, we identify a range of possibilities for future studies, contributing to the discussions involving Art and Astronomy, as well as the didactic transposition of this relationship in science teaching during elementary school. |
