Resumo: Reinforced concrete corbel is an element that does not present a linear behavior of stress and strain through its section, this mean that it does not abide by Bernoulli’s hypothesis. This thesis presents the application of Strut-and-tie method in the design of corbel, in order to assist the calculation of theses discontinuous sections and insert more precision in calculation of other methods. It was design by the Brazilian standards NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014) and NBR 9062 (ABNT, 2017) an automated model for corbel design using strut-and-tie method. The automated model runs over Software Microsoft Excel with simply use and brings great advantages in the design of corbels, such as checking the crushing of a compression strut and reinforcement arrangement, according to the reinforcing bar size selected by the user. The worksheet functionality has been tested through check examples.
