Resumo: The search for strategies that can contribute with a more sustainable civil construction is constantly growing, looking for offering environmental comfort and energetic efficiency to the user. Inserted in this context, the natural ventilation is source of studies that can potentialize your application, where is not necessarily needed to develop a new technique but go deeper at one that already exists. And that was the motivation of this research, which the focus consists on analyze experimentally – simulating a wind tunnel and using a prototype in reduced scale – two bioclimatic strategies of natural ventilation, one the wind tower, very used in the Middle East architecture and the other the wind capture like shed, a technique already widespread in Brazil, looking for analyzing the improvement of internal air circulation, having the smoke as the qualitative element to represent the flow. By that, was able to verify the dissipation time of the smoke inside the prototype, in different speed settings and incidental winds directions, comparing the strategies and knowing that to incidental winds at 0° and 180°, the tower showed faster dissipation of the internal smoke, and that to incidental winds at 45°, the shed showed a more efficiency dissipation, resulting on the improvement of the internal air circulation.
