Resumo: A search for fitness makes websites, blogs and social networks with fitness content become an alternative for those seeking information about sports, health, wellness, aesthetics, exercise, among others. As online social networks, due to their high visibility and reach among millions of users, they have some influence on the routine and choices of many people. In this sense, this study aimed to analyze the influence of online social networks on the sports practice of 64 adolescents aged 14 to 16 years, of both genders, at the Public College of Curitiba / PR. To do this, use as methodology the research of the wrong nature, that is, qualitative and quantitative, with descriptive character. As an instrument for data collection, a questionnaire adapted with objective and discursive questions is used, with 16 objective and 5 discursive questions, totaling 21 questions. An analysis of quantitative data was performed using graphs generated by the Excel program, where data were tabulated and presented as a percentage and qualitative methods were used using the theoretical framework as an analytical instrument. The results show that, in fact, how online social networks influence the choice of adolescent sports, and the ones that most influence are the levels of healthy eating, bodybuilding, health and well-being, exercise and others. With this study, we emphasize the importance of parents and teachers, for those who lead adolescents to a conscious use of online social networks, as well as the topics examined in this paper, such as body dissatisfaction and the same eating disorders.
