Resumo: Football is one of the most practiced sports in the world and its main Brazilian sport. The aim of this study was to analyze what are the different aspects, in the perception of the fan, in relation to female soccer and male soccer. As methodological procedures, this study describes as the quantitative and descriptive resource. There were questionnaires from 290 participants of both sexes who had some interest in soccer. The questionnaires contain 33 questions, divided into eight examples: Interviewee data; Personal taste in football; Knowledge about women’s sport; Preferred times for watching football; Attendance with attendance at soccer games; Perception of the media; Perception regarding the level of sport; Opinion about the sport. The questionnaire was made available to participants through social networks through the Google Forms platform and data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, such as central tendency measures, dispersion measures and distribution measures. The results showed that 63.4% of participants were male and 36.6% female, while 91.0% said they had spent some time because of performance. It was also possible to observe that there is a demand and an audience that consumes or women’s football if they have more television frequency and at the public’s preferred times, which are shown on Wednesdays after 21:00 and on weekends in the period between 15:00 and 18:00 hours. Still related to the frequency with which football was possible, seeing the more one watches the sport the better the perception of respect. It is also noteworthy that the number of participants who said that watching female soccer for the body and beauty of the athletes was only 8.9% and 65.5% of the participants who answered that just being a soccer game already motivated to watch As 28.6% answered that the technical quality of the game can watch. Finally, 2.1% of participants believe that soccer can be harmful to women or sports that were not made for women, or that reveals a certain evolution in the way of thinking about soccer in Brazil and showing a better understanding of the role of women in society as well as in sport, looking for an increase in the useful demand for women’s soccer consumption.
