Resumo: Introduction: The Sports and Leisure Centers (NEL) are open places for the practice of physical activity at the community level. Knowing how the community uses these places as well as their influence on the quality of life of these visitors can direct actions of managers of the municipality to promote physical activity for the population. Aim: To analyze the association between the pattern of use of the Sports and Leisure Centers and the quality of life of users and the level of physical activity. Method: The pattern of use, level of leisure-time physical activity and perception of quality of life of NEL users were evaluated through the application of a questionnaire. Participants were interviewed three days a week in the morning, approached in places suitable for physical activity. Results: Eighty-nine NEL attendees were interviewed. Regarding the site usage pattern, most users attend at least four times a week and stay for at least 60 minutes a day on site. For quality of life, most participants had good scores. Conclusion: Individuals who frequent the places showed a better perception of quality of life.
