The soybean is originally from China, with record that its cultivation uccurs five thousand years ago, in Brasil, the culture started to stand out in the 1970s, with the expansion to the midwest, na increase in world demand for soybeans, with producers being forced to achieve higher production ceillings, so genetic improvement programs are essential to meet this demand, making possible through the variability and amplification of the genetic base and the selection of the best genotypes of a population. The objective of this work was to evaluate the agronomic performance of soybean cultivars and pre-commercial IPRO lineages under different plant populations compared to the commercial cultivars of the same maturation group, indicated for the southwestern region of Paraná, seeking a possible introduction of new genotypes for exploitation by farmers. The experimente was installed in the harvest 16 / 17, in october, in the Experimental Area of Universidade Tecnológica Federeal do Paraná, Câmpus Dois Vizinhos. Three protocols were evaluated: Protocol 1. The coded strains 5909 – 2; 5909 – 3 and 5909 – 7 were tested under diferente populations, 220; 330; 440 and 550 thousand plants per hectare, with commercial check cultivar NS 5959 IPRO,with a population of 360 thousand plants per hectare. Protocol 2. The coded strains NS 5215 IPRo was tested in the same populations described for the aforementioned lineages, having as commercial check cultivar the NS 5445 IPRO, in the population of 320 thousand plants per hectare. Protocol 3. This protocol aimed to evaluate the performance of commercial cultivar NS 6906 in the southwestern region, under the same populations of plants cited, since its recommendation is not given to this environment. It was adopted as a check the cultivar NS 6601 IPRO, in the population of 308 thousand plants per hectare. The variables analyzed were: plant height, 1st pod insertion, number of pods per plant, grains per pod, one thousand grain mass (MMG) and productivity. The lineage NS 5909 – 02 IPRO was better than the check crop with intermediary populations, for NS 5909 - 03 IPRO was the same in the smallest populations and superior only in the largest population, for NS 5909 - 07 IPRO was better in the lowest population and similar to check cultivation in the other populations, for NS 5215 IPRO was equal to check cultivar with the smallest populations and in the larger was superior to check cultivar, whereas for cultivar NS 6906 IPRO was equal to cultivar check. |
