With this purpose, from the deductive approach method, it is initially addressed the scientific understanding of climate risk, and then the guidelines of the Paris Agreement and the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) of Brazil to the multilateral regime of the climate are contextualized. Subsequently, the National Policy on Climate Change and the National Adaptation Plan, members of the Brazilian NDC, are presented, with a focus on urban planning. In the end, the treatment given to the thematic nexus by the state of Paraná is analyzed and, particularly, by the Master Plan of the municipality of Curitiba. As a result, it is inferred that urban planning presents formal and material possibilities for transformation and adaptation of the territory in favor of dynamic climate stability. Objetiva este estudo situar a convergência entre adaptação climática e planejamento urbano na gestão pública municipal à luz do Acordo de Paris, utilizando a cidade de Curitiba como estudo de caso. Com esse propósito, a partir do método dedutivo de abordagem, versa-se inicialmente a respeito da compreensão científica do risco climático para, em seguida, contextualizar as diretrizes do Acordo de Paris e da Contribuição Nacionalmente Determinada (NDC) do Brasil ao regime multilateral do clima. Posteriormente, apresenta-se a Política Nacional sobre Mudança do Clima e o Plano Nacional de Adaptação, integrantes da NDC brasileira, com enfoque no planejamento urbano. Ao final, analisa-se o tratamento dado ao nexo temático pelo estado do Paraná e, em particular, pelo Plano Diretor do município de Curitiba.
