The promotion of innovation is a fundamental condition for a good market positioning, as well as being aware of new concepts and technologies, such as 4.0 industry, which brings a new paradigm to the production process, as well as several impacts on the productive sectors. The fuel distribution segment has been increasing in competitiveness with the shrinking market. Companies in the segment have been looking for alternatives to increase productivity, encouraging the use of innovative solutions. Company in the fuel distribution segment implemented an innovation contest to identify good practices implemented within the company. The research was developed in order to identify the adherence of practices, contained in a company’s innovation contest, from the fuel distribution segment to 4.0 industry concepts. The survey and application of the method made use of the database of the innovation contest, of a national company, of the fuel distribution sector. The collected data were submitted to analysis in order to observe the convergences between the concepts of innovation and 4.0 industry in relation to the adopted practices. The results point to the adherence of some practices to the 4.0 industry concept, as well as discuss the interrelationship between the innovation and 4.0 industry concepts. |
