Resumo: The electromyographic signal, which represents the electrical activity in muscles, can be sampled by monitoring techniques of muscular membranes. The analysis of this signal is important for academic studies, development of electromechanical prostheses, diagnosis of patients, among others. Therefore, the present work aimed at the develop a portable electromyograph for monitoring muscle signals. The electromyograph consist of: four monitoring channels, allowing simultaneous sampling of four muscle groups; a data acquisition and filtering board; and a graphical interface. Each capture channel is built into a small printed circuit board that has a differential amplifier and a pair of non-invasive electrodes. The acquired signals are sent to the acquisition board which, via an analog-to-digital converter (ADC), sends the muscular data to the interface on a computer. The interface was programmed in the LabVIEW environment. The final prototype, was validated and tested through an electronic emulator of muscle signals. Thus, human guinea pigs were not used for validation. With the results, it is expected that the prototype may be the basis for the development of a robotic prosthesis in future works.
