Resumo: Additive manufacturing is a generic term that was used to describe the manufacturing process like 3D printer. It is a process that you deposit material in several steps until you get the final format. This tecnology has a ability to reach geometries not used by conventional manufacturing. This type of manufacturing has been making it easier for users and even small businesses to enter in the market and enabling anyone to create their own model the way they want. Today, this manufacturing technique has demonstrated a degree of innovation as a point of being regarded as one of the foundations of the new industrial revolution. In recent years, compositional prototyping machines had become popular due a development of techniques and a jointly developed open source 3D printing technology such as RepRap. The main reason of this project is design, assemble and test a low cost 3D printer. Specific project objectives include: obtaining a quality structure, using recycled materials, using printed materials, implementing a control system through Arduino, assembling, testing and altering quality and low manufacturing cost.
