The present work is to evaluate the emission of carbon dioxide to atmosphere comparing two constructive systems. The system of predominance in the country is still of conventional masonry, using the reinforced concrete system, but with intentions to reduce the effects generated by the sector, new means of constructions have been evaluated in the country, as well as new materials structural. The steel frame system utilizes galvanized steel profiles in its structure, predominantly used in developed countries, while the reinforced concrete used steel bars and concrete in its structural composition. Aço Verde is a material that has had its largest dissemination in recent years in the country, a quality material superior to the conventional and that has promises to be a material with less environmental impact. Based on this contextualization, it was carried out the analysis of the impact generated by the constructive systems and whether Aço Verde is an element of better environmental visibility. Then, the amount of material used in the structure grade beam and superstructure was lifted, being quantified the carbon dioxide emitted in each case. As a result, it was obtained that the steel frame system has advantages over the conventional system, with lower emission index, and the Aço Verde performs the recovery of part of the carbon that would be emitted by the application of the conventional material. |
