This research analysed if the practice of garden cultivation in schools promotes Environmental Education in Basic school, through bibliometric studies. We chose the Google Scholar platform as a research source, selecting documents published between 2009 and 2019, with the following expressions: “school garden”, “environmental education” and “public school”, 762 articles were selected. The bibliometric study allowed to verify a linear growth over the period with greater incidence of publications referring to the use of the school garden in the final years of elementary school in municipal schools. The bibliometric study allowed us to state that the school garden is an indicator of the practice of Environmental Education, since 41% of the publications are in this area, in addition to that publications that report a practice, 93% report a positive experience. |
