Resumo: |
This case study presents the advantages of using the kaizen tool in a metallurgy company sector, considering that a company that has several product cycles has the need to gain speed in the process and also to reduce the volume of materials in the sector. Sequencing creates flow and improves customer service. The implementation of a system that sequences production efficiently is nothing more than using information technology in favor of the production system. Currently price and quality are obligations of the corporations, but speed in service, this is a big differential. To remain competitive, companies must be constantly innovating and several paths can be taken to better manage their production. In a brief analysis, the performance of an organization is basically influenced by human behavior, where we always have two vectors to achieve high performance: competence a and motivation. It is understood that the skills associated with teamwork and problem solving can be natural skills of the employee or can be developed within an industrial environment through training and follow-up, however these skills become useless when employees are not motivated to use them. In this sense, the application of tools such as Kaizen, which promote the participation of all organizational levels with a common objective, allows the exchange of ideas, the integration of teams and the valorization of work through recognition. This work aims study the Kaizen tool as a means of improving the performance of the area with a focus on reducing manufacturing costs, encouraging the participation of shop floor employees to identify opportunities for improvement, being recognized by senior management. The research is a case study of the intention of an exploratory character based on a bibliographic survey of the themes in focus for leveling the concepts, as well as the evaluation of a case study to obtain data. |
