Resumo: The present work had as objective to identify reasons that cause distortions between the stock of physical x system blades of a company in the metal mechanic branch located in the northern region of the state of Santa Catarina. Initially, it was investigated which material had the highest inventory adjustment index, both in quantity and in financial value. It was found that only one item was responsible for 23% of the adjusted volume in the first half of 2020. After this analysis, the investigation process was started, evaluating forms of storage, forms of records and the functioning of the system of transfers between stocks. It was found that transfers between inventories were carried out as soon as production orders were completed, só the material was already in the stock without due verification of the quantity supplied. There is also no proper control of the material that was left over in production, that is, since the material was not transferred, the supply for production often exceeded the required quantity, requiring the return of the leftovers to the stock. This return of leftovers was recorded on receipt in the SAP control system, but not controlled, if there was a consumption greater than expected, the situation was not known by recording in the stock, only the amount of the grid. For future changes and investment in this work, an RFDI (Radio Frequency Identification) system was proposed, automating the storage records for incoming and outgoing material.
