Electromyography is a diagnostic tool to assess the health of the muscles and nerve cells that control them. The results may reveal nerve dysfunction, muscle disorder, or problems with signal transmission from the nerve to the muscle. The electromyographic signal is acquired by an electromyograph that converts the electrical activity associated with the functioning of the muscle into a graphic record. This work presents the development of two modules for the acquisition of an electromyographic signal. The first module has the use of integrated encapsulation of the instrumentation amplifier. The second implements the instrumentation circuit with differential output. The set of modules forms a multichannel system responsible for detecting, conditioning and digitizing electrical contraction signals that are transmitted by a data bus to a server. As a result, two printed circuit boards with double layer SMD components were developed to acquire signal from the muscles. |
