The intense urbanization and occupation of soils together with the lack of environmental urban planning, resulted in serious consequences in relation to the natural course of drainage. Natural elements such as rivers, streams and plant roofs that assisted in the natural water path were replaced by artificial elements that contribute to soil impermeability. Urban drainage seeks to solve the problems caused by occupation in urban centers and in the face of the high piezometric energy of water when discarded in river beds arises the need to dimension an energy sink. The method studied by Carlos A. Gonçales and Hubert Chanson is used in the present work to dimension a small hydraulic ladder together with a Type I energy sink. In response, the efficiency of the scaled model was obtained, as it was verified through calculations the loss of 76.08 % of energy reducing downstream speed to 1.08 m/s contributing to a flow without assaulting the terrain. |
