This paper presents a study related to labor health and security, focused on the risk of dust explosions in agricultural environments, specifically in grain storage silos and attached structures. For that, the Brazilian norms that control the grain processing storage units were studied, as well as the US standards. To verify the application of accident prevention in grain storage units, two visits were made in the state of Paraná, and from the collected data, it was possible to evaluate the application of normative recommendations. According to that, it can be noted that the scenario in both units are problematic, not meeting all the requirements recommended by the American standard and net presenting several prevention methods, and when they are presented, they are not enough to guarantee the safety in the workplace. Further research aligned to this paper will be necessary for the study to reach a larger quantity of samples, to verify if what was found can be applied to other regions in the country. |
