Astrobiology is a science that has been growing and developing in a short period of time, and seeks to answer some questions about the origin and evolution of life inside and outside the planet Earth. Its insertion in the teaching of Brazilian sciences is something that generates many expectations, since this is a science that provokes and arouses the interest not only of students, but also of teachers who wish to know a little more about the subject. To this end, a survey was made and the description of scientific works what is now known as "state of the art", about the teaching of astrobiology in Brazil. In a period of 14 years, 37 publications were found, but there is a large gap between 2007 and 2012, which shows the absence of papers related to this subject. The publications were distributed in nine topics of analysis to facilitate the understanding and proposal of each work. The works bring different teaching proposals for the insertion of Astrobiology in Brazil and they are focused on different levels of teaching. Among the publications, we observe the use of various methodologies and application instruments, such as educational games, classes with films and science fiction books, classes with software, guides and didactic proposals that help the teacher, face-to-face courses and astrobiology EAD and others, all to promote the development of astrobiology teaching in Brazil. Of the publications analyzed, 27% are focused on higher education and continuing teacher education, while 32% of the publications are focused on the insertion of Astrobiology in high school, these studies still bring different teaching proposals. 49% of the studies address astrobiology and its interdisciplinarity, while the rest are related to Astrobiology with other disciplines. USP and UFRJ are the educational institutions with the largest number of publications on the subject. The Southeast region concentrates 51% of the publications on the teaching of astrobiology in Brazil. |
