Resumo: The application study of the Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) is fundamental to the production process, mainly due to the need to Make it flexible and reduce downtime costs between products to be produced in the same labor and machine resource. For SMT assembly companies that have high value-added machinery where lost time impacts revenue. This study was carried out in a company in the electronic products industry, in the city of Pato Branco, Paraná State, aiming to present a proposal of application of the concepts based on the Toyota Waste Reduction Production System. The production line. The estimated outcomes involve a 30% gain with a 46% reduction in kit separation time and a 44% reduction in online setup preparation time based on demand product pilot project monthly.
