In environments such as theaters, auditoriums and acoustic rooms, it is essential to know the behavior of the sound inside, trying to control it so that it becomes acoustically suitable for its intended use. The verification of the sound propagation in relation to the constructive aspects of form, geometry and the constituent materials on the surfaces, is essential to define the acoustic quality of closed spaces. It is with this bias that the work is developed, having as its main objective the acoustic characterization of the case study, the Municipal Theater of Guarapuava, with multiple purposes, inaugurated in June 2018 with capacity for 316 listeners. The analysis of the main objective acoustic parameters, Reverberation Time (TR), Early Decay Time (EDT), Speech Transmission Index (STI), Clarity (C80) and Definition (D50), was carried out through a set of measurements of impulse response and interrupted noise performed in situ, following the procedures described in NBR 33821:2017. All these properties allowed us to assess the sound quality of the Theater, through a comparative analysis with the values recommended in the standard and in the literature. In sequence, an acoustic simulation model of the environment was developed in the free ISIMPA software, its calibration and validation was based on the results obtained in the measurements performed. In view of the values collected through the measurements, it can be concluded that the auditorium presents a great acoustic behavior for its purpose of use, especially in activities aimed at the perception of the word than for musical performances. The computational model elaborated requires a more refined adjustment of the sound absorption and scattering coefficients, in order to obtain results closer to the measurements, thus enabling to simulate constructive acoustic solutions in order to improve the acoustic quality of the Theater if desired. |
