Resumo: The growing environmental concern associated with excess waste encourages the reuse and development of new recycled materials that are feasible to use due to their properties and costs. Thus, this work addresses the processing and characterization of the polymeric composite produced from the aggregation of rubber particles with poly vinyl acetate (PVA). High energy absorption properties are sought to justify the application of this recycled material as a floor covering for sports, for example, judo mat, gyms or special flooring to control vibrations and noise. This work seeks to understand the material's impact absorption capacity, by determining the restitution coefficient. The amount of glue and the characteristics of the particles were compared by calculating the restitution coefficient and density.
