Resumo: Additive manufacturing is based on the manufacture of 3D parts through the depositing of material in successive layers from a computer-generated model. This technique has different technology processes and the choice to obtain the 3D part depends on its application, the type of material and the state (solid, liquid, paste or powder) of the raw material. It is used in several areas, in the most varied industrial sectors such as: automotive, food, furniture, medicine, among others. This work explores the additive manufacturing used to make hydroxyapatite’s scaffolds, and aims to comopare two of the most used technologies to obtain this material, stereolithography and selective laser sintering, regarding the morphology of the material, cost/benefit ratio, facility of processing, possibility of large-scale production and reduced waste.
