Resumo: The great problem caused by the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the national and global scope since 2020, has impacted the vast majority of industries in a negative way, causing production, logistics and supply problems. Given the broad economic and structural representation of MSEs in Londrina, the planning and control of production, especially for transformation industries, meets this demand as a fundamental and vital tool to reduce negative impacts given the scenario faced. Thus, this work aims to raise the level of operational quality related to planning and production control of micro and small companies located in Londrina and region to assess possible operational deficiencies further maximized by the sanitary crisis. The research problem is that the level of planning and production control of micro and small companies in the metropolitan region of Londrina is not known. This research is qualitative and quantitative in nature. The sample object of this research are the micro and small industrial companies in the metropolitan region of Londrina. The research instrument is composed of 25 questions, which are divided into objective and discursive questions aimed at people directly involved in production planning. It was found that these companies have many deficiencies regarding production planning and control, where 71% of them do not have a PCP department and that the sanitary crisis has driven them to take unusual measures, such as in 89% of companies seeking new vendors due to 86% suffering from resource shortages. The results indicated that it is necessary that the micro and small industrial companies studied in general, prepare better with regard to planning and production control, however, as shown in the survey, they are, on average, 75% engaged for this.
