The study consists of surveying and analyzing data on losses of the production process and shown the relevancy of these losses. Thereunto, cost techniques are used, thus enabling the comparison of losses in different measurement units and at different stages of the process. The methodology used is a survey applied in an oral hygiene products company in the north of Paraná, with adaptation of the process for the possibility of collecting data and guaranteeing its reliability. Data were tabulated and related to how much the company used raw materials and also to financial performance, such as gross sales and profit margin. After that, it was proving the importance of loss control and also suggesting indicators for the control of losses within the industry, where it was possible to measure them as a whole, separated by productive sectors and by the different types of losses that exist in the industry, following the same cost utilization model. |
