Resumo: With the increasing demand for green energy, and benefitting from Brazil's high solar energy potential, solar photovoltaic energy systems are a great solution that is increasingly being adopted by the populace. Through a Distributed-Generation system, we can complement the energy production of the Brazilian power grid, which is mainly composed by Hydro-Electric Power Plants, and so, susceptible to environmental variations. The aim of this study is to design a on-grid Photovoltaic System (PV) for a retail center in Foz do Iguacu - PR, aiming at complementing the energy demand from the development's common areas while lowering electrical energy expenditure. Starting with the site assessment, the energy yield potential and the PV System shed-based layout were determined, taking advantage of the free space available at the development's rooftop. Next, the executive project was created, consisting of wiring diagrams, on-grid connection protocols, design choices and financial analysis. This project was created with assistance from the PVSyst solar simulation software.
