Resumo: The steel-concrete bond is of fundamental importance for the functioning of elements in reinforced concrete, as they provide the transfer of efforts between them. The geometry of steel bars is one of the main factors that affect the bond behavior. This work makes an experimental study of bond using steel bars with different surface characteristics, using direct pull-out tests. From the experimental investigation, it is concluded that the geometry of the steel bars interfere in the performance of the steel-concrete interface. After identifying the necessary parameters, numerical simulations were carried out using the Finite Element Method in order to verify the numerical results with the experimental ones and thus be able to validate the modeling. Furthermore, it was possible to visualize the stresses in concrete using the Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager criteria. Finally, after the analyses it was found that the numerical model elaborated came close in parts to the experimental model and that further improvement is needed to accurately represent the physical effects present in the direct pull-out tests.
